Class Registration
Please note: Each participant must register individually. If you are signing up multiple people, each registration must be completed separately to ensure accurate scheduling and documentation.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your class, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance:

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class start time are non-refundable, and class fees will be charged as if the session was attended. Additionally, we offer FFL transfer services for those looking to purchase firearms.

Our License to Carry (LTC) course is a state-mandated 4–6 hour program required by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Please note: This class does not teach basic firearm handling or shooting fundamentals; students must already be proficient with a handgun before attending. For those in need of firearm proficiency training, we recommend our First Steps class prior to enrolling in the LTC course. If you do not own a handgun, rentals are available at JD Gunworks.
Private LTC Classes
Private LTC sessions are available for individuals, small groups, or full private classes. To schedule a private LTC class, please contact:

Private LTC Rates:
2–5 guests: $400 per person
6–20 guests: $250 per person
JD Gunworks LTC Program Includes:
State-required 4–6 hours of classroom instruction
Written exam
Firearm proficiency test
Completed LTC-100 form
Equipment Needed:
Your handgun
Eye and ear protection
One box of ammunition 50 count
A valid Texas Driver’s License
Firearm must not have an attached laser
Prerequisite: First Steps
Students must already be comfortable and proficient with a handgun. If you’re looking for FFL transfer services, we can assist you as well.
Rescheduling Policy
All participants must give 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. Last-minute changes may result in forfeited class fees.

Shooters will have the opportunity to be observed by our NRA-certified instructors during firearm proficiency training. These instructors will assist shooters in improving their techniques and shooting styles, as well as provide additional instruction to enhance the shooter’s skills. Additionally, we offer FFL transfer services and a comprehensive License to Carry course to support all aspects of responsible firearm ownership.

FFL Transfer Services
If you’ve purchased a firearm online and need a licensed dealer to complete the transfer, JD Gunworks is here to assist. Our FFL transfer services ensure your transaction is handled safely, legally, and efficiently.
Process Overview:
Purchase Your Firearm Online – Complete your firearm purchase from your chosen online retailer.
Ship to Our FFL Location – Have the seller ship the firearm directly to JD Gunworks for secure receipt and processing.
Complete ATF Form 4473 – Upon arrival, visit our facility to complete the ATF Form 4473 (Firearm Transaction Record) in person.
Background Check & Transfer – We will conduct the required FDLE background check and finalize the transfer in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Additionally, if you're looking to enhance your skills, we also offer firearm proficiency training and a License to Carry course.
